SimReal - Help - Calculator - Geometry parAbel Logo

[Main Menu] [Previous]
Chose 'Geometry' from the menu system in the calculator display.
A new menu system is generated in the display and the button layer of the calculator is shifted to the one you see in the picture.
To the left of the calculator you see a coordinate system.
This coordinate system can be scrolled, scaled and reset (scrollbar/button in the bottom).

From the menu system you can now chose among:
Polygon - Rectangle - Square - Triangle - Circle - Vector.

A new figure will be placed to the left below the coordinatsystem
One of the corners (A) is shown as a red sphere, the others (B,C,...)are shown as green spheres.
The corner A is used to move the whole figure, the others can be used to change the form of the figure. Several figures can be shown at the same time (use the scrollbar FigNr at the bottom of the calculator.

Chosing Polygon, use the scrollbar Dim at the bottom of the calculator to chose the number of corners in the polygon.

Normal up at a node of a chosen line. First click the node, then the endpoints of the line.
Normal down from a node to a line. First click the node, then the endpoints of the line.
Midnormal at the chosen line. Chose the line by click at its two endpoints.
A new node is placed as a midpoint of a chosen line. First click the new node, then the endpoint of the line.
Half a chosen angle. Firt click the top point of the angle, then the endpoints of the connecting lines.
Remove the last clicked node.
Remove the current figure.
Remove all figures.
Remove the current line. The current line is chosen by cliking its endpoints.
Show/Hide the current node.
Generate a new node (down to the left) connecting it to the current figure.
Generate a new figure (not implemented yet).
Generate a new line connecting the two last clicked nodes.
Fix the last clicked node at the same x-value to the current line. First click the node, then the endpoints of the line.
Toggle between dragging/no-dragging of the current (last clicked) node.

Show/Hide the nodes of the current figure.
Show/Hide the nodes of all the figures.
Mark/Unmark (A,B,C,...) the nodes of all the figures.
Extra information of figures (circumference, area, line length, angles), yet only for triangles.
Lock all nodes so they cannot be dragged (but still possible to move by scrollbars and datafields).
Unlock for dragging all A-nodes of the figures, so all figures can be moved.
Show/Hide the grid.

Show the relative x-position of the current node compared to the current A-node.
Show the relative y-position of the current node compared to the current A-node.
Show the length of the current line (the line with the last two clicked endpoints).
Show the angle of the current line relative to the +x-axis.
Chose the number of nodes in the current figure.
chose a new figure or a current figure with a chosen number.

Scroll x- or y-axis of the coordinate system.
Scale the x- and y-axis of the coordinate system.
Rotate the current figure about the A-node.
Move and fix the current node to origin of the coordinate system.
Reflecting the current figure about the y-line through the A-node in the current figure.
Reset the scrolling and scaling of the coordinate system.
